L.L.Bean opened its first Tennessee retail store on Friday, July 17, at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin. Customers were excited to get a first look at the store, with the first customers in line Friday morning at 3 a.m.
The nearly 18,000-square-foot store, located at 1800 Galleria Blvd #2520, features a selection of the Maine-based outdoor brand’s year-round apparel and footwear for shoppers throughout Middle Tennessee.
Founded in 1912, L.L.Bean is known for its durable outdoor clothing, footwear, craftsmanship, and customer service.
Grand-opening festivities continue on Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
On Friday, the first 100 customers received a $50 L.L.Bean gift card. Complimentary iced coffee from Café Latte was available in the morning, followed by refreshments throughout the day.
Saturday’s first 100 customers will receive a custom Boat and Tote, with the line starting at 6 a.m. Café Latte will serve complimentary iced coffee from 9 to 11 a.m., and local embroiderer Piles of Threads will offer complimentary chain-stitch embroidery from 1 to 5 p.m.
Activities both days will include free Boat and Tote monogramming with a Boat and Tote purchase, screen printing, paracord crafts, photos with the L.L.Bean Bootmobile, enter-to-win giveaways, a swag station, and refreshments.
