On Sept. 12, 2026, Tennessee State dropped to 0-3 with a 30-3 loss at Alabama A&M, held out of the end zone in front of 13,749 at Louis Crews Stadium. Ground game stalls

Defense keeps it close early

Bryce Gray led Tennessee State with nine tackles and a sack, and Joshua Reese picked off Brown in the third quarter. But the Tigers turned the ball over three times and allowed 326 passing yards, including 175 to Jarel Williams.
