Nashville Soccer Club has added depth to its midfield, signing defensive midfielder Famara Camara in a transfer from Ranheim IL of Norway’s OBOS-Ligaen. The deal runs through June of 2029 with an option through June of 2030, pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa. Who Is Famara Camara
Born April 10, 2005, in Mbour, Senegal, Camara is a 6’1″, 172-pound defensive midfielder who turned pro in 2025. In his short professional career, he has already logged 40 appearances for Ranheim IL in Norway’s second division, contributing one goal and two assists across those outings.
Camara’s International Experience
Before making the jump to club football in Europe, Camara built a resume on the international youth stage. He represented Senegal’s U20 national team and was part of the squad that earned a bronze medal finish at the 2023 African Games, giving him experience in high-stakes tournament competition at a young age.

Camara joins a Nashville midfield group that GM Mike Jacobs describes as already talented.
