The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated $800 million ($344.2 million cash value) for the Tuesday, July 28, 2026 drawing after no ticket matched all six numbers in Friday’s July 24 drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 5, 42, 44 and 60, with a Mega Ball of 1. The prize ranks as the tenth largest jackpot in the game’s history and the largest since last November. Friday’s Drawing Produced Over 500,000 Winners
Despite no jackpot winner, the July 24 drawing generated 500,257 winning tickets across all prize tiers, totaling nearly $10.1 million in nationwide winnings. Thirteen tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to claim third-tier prizes. Six of those tickets won at 2X (two in Florida, one each in California, Georgia, Ohio and South Carolina), five won at 3X (two in California, one each in Idaho, Missouri and Ohio), and two won at 4X (both in California). California prizes vary from standard values due to the state’s pari-mutuel rules. Complete drawing results are available on the Mega Millions website.

37 Drawings Without a Jackpot Winner
The jackpot was last won on March 17 in Ohio. In the 37 drawings since that win, the game has awarded nearly $252.4 million in total prizes across more than 10.2 million winning tickets. That stretch includes 16 second-tier prizes worth up to $4 million — seven at 2X (two each in California and Florida, one each in Indiana, Iowa and New York), four at 3X (two in New Jersey, one each in Arizona and Pennsylvania), and five at 4X (two in New York, one each in Florida, Georgia and New Jersey).
Third-Tier Prizes Span 38 States
During the current jackpot run, 248 third-tier prizes ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 have been won across 38 jurisdictions: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
2026 Has Seen Just Two Jackpot Winners
Only two Mega Millions jackpots have been won in 2026. A $536 million prize was claimed in Illinois before the $60 million Ohio win on March 17. This marks only the second time since the game launched in 2002 that just two jackpots had been awarded through July 24 in a single year — the first was 2024, which concluded with only four jackpots total, the fewest in the game’s history.
