The Store will host its third annual School Store in late July at Coleman Park Community Center in Nashville, offering free school supplies to families currently enrolled in The Store’s services, as well as children taking part in the center’s summer program. Click for More Events
With The Store continuing to grow, more than 800 children are expected to receive supplies this year as they get ready for the upcoming school year.
While the School Store event itself is limited to current customers and program participants, the community is invited to support the effort in other ways. Throughout July, The Store is collecting new, high-quality backpacks and stainless-steel water bottles, and community members can help by purchasing items from the School Store 2026 wish list and having them shipped directly to The Store.
“We are thankful for the Nashville community that helps us provide much-needed support of our families facing food insecurity. Our customers also lack resources for important things like school supplies,” said Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, co-founders of The Store, in a release. “Thanks to our generous donors, we love being able to offer this opportunity to gear up for a great school year ahead.”
In addition to backpacks and water bottles, children will receive school supply boxes filled with items such as pencils, crayons and scissors. Those supplies were made possible through donations from Oracle, Edward Jones, GEODIS and Dollar General Stores. Metro Parks also donated the use of the facility.
