Walmart customers can soon order Dunkin’ beverages and food for delivery through the Walmart app or Walmart.com, as part of a new partnership with Inspire Brands, the parent company of Dunkin’. More Eat & Drink News
How the Dunkin’ Delivery Rollout Works
Dunkin’ delivery is launching first through the chain’s 150 in-store tenant locations at Walmart. Walmart plans to expand delivery access to the majority of Dunkin’s roughly 10,000 locations outside of Walmart stores nationwide. Customers with an eligible delivery address will see Dunkin’ appear automatically in the Restaurants tab of the Walmart app, where they can browse the menu, customize beverage and food orders, and check out using the same process they already use for grocery and household orders.
Why Walmart Is Expanding Into Restaurant Delivery
Walmart has positioned itself as a growing competitor in restaurant delivery by pairing its store footprint with its existing last-mile delivery network. The company operates within 10 miles of approximately 90% of the U.S. population, giving it a broad base to scale delivery services quickly. Adding restaurants located outside its stores, rather than only in-store tenants, allows Walmart to combine restaurant orders with everyday shopping orders in a single delivery.
What This Means for Customers
The partnership allows customers to add Dunkin’ beverages, donuts, or sandwiches to the same delivery as household essentials like paper towels and milk. Walmart and Dunkin’ framed the collaboration as a way to reach customers through a delivery experience they already use regularly, rather than requiring a separate app or service for restaurant orders.
