The beloved musical will play TPAC October 13–18 as part of the 2026–27 HCA Healthcare/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC season, presented in partnership with INFINITI. Tickets available at TPAC.org.

Produced by Concord Theatricals and NETworks Presentations, the North American tour honors the 65th anniversary of the musical’s original stage debut.

Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, The Sound of Music brings the story of Maria and the von Trapp family back to the stage with its timeless themes of love, resilience and the power of music. Casting will be announced at a later date.

The classic musical features a Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winning score, including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss” and “The Sound of Music.”

The musical features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It was inspired by The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp. The 1965 Oscar-winning film recently celebrated its 60th anniversary and remains one of the most successful movie musicals of all time.

This production is choreographed by Danny Mefford, whose Broadway credits include Kimberly Akimbo, Dear Evan Hansen and Fun Home. The creative team also includes set design by Douglas Schmidt, costume design by Jane Greenwood, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Kai Harada, musical supervision by Andy Einhorn and hair and wig design by Tom Watson. Casting is by The Telsey Office.
