Roy B. Rains, 99, of the Bradyville community passed away at his home, Monday May 4, 2026. Born in Cannon Co., he was the son of the late Homer and Bertha Sadler Rains. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Merritt Rains, sons, Tommy and Gayle Rains, grandson, Rustin Means, great grandsons, Blake and Eli Hall and siblings, Clark Rains, Thelma Rains, Cora Jean Duke and Ray Rains.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Ronnie) Hall of Woodbury, Sonda Reed of Manchester and Barbara Brown of Kissimmee, FL.; grandchildren, Bethany Hall, Tiffany Simpson, Benjamin Rains, Amber Gunter, Jonathan Hall, Anthony Reed and Brian Reed and Michelle Harris; great grandchildren, Lillie and Lizzie Hall, Gweneth Basham, Isabella Rasori, Mason Simpson, Rose Simpson, Mark Simpson, Luke Rains, Ava Rains, Bradley Gunter, Brooklynn Crawford, Elena Reed, Luke Reed and LeRoy Reed, Kailee Dick, Thomas Means and Daniel Means, Grayson Hall, Anna Hall, Allie Hall; great great grandchildren, Samuel Gunter, Elsie Crawford, Knox Dick, Knash Dick and Zayn Harris.

Mr. Roy was retired from AVCO and was a member of the Smith Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed cattle farming and growing flowers. He was loved deeply by his family and will be missed greatly.

His family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Al Bugg and Bro. Norman Pelham officiating. Interment will follow in the Midway cemetery.
