Lawrence Daniel Vastano Jr. Obit

Lawrence “Larry” Daniel Vastano, 82, of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025. Born on November 1, 1942, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Larry lived a life full of passion, resilience, and unwavering love for his family and community.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War as a C-140 mechanic. After his service, he moved to Nashville, where he owned and operated American Reprographics, Inc. for 48 years—building not only a successful business, but also lasting relationships within the community.

Never one to shy away from new challenges, Larry took up ice hockey at the age of 53 and proudly wore jersey #53 until he was 70. He was an avid sailor, a motorcycle enthusiast, and always found peace in a quiet day spent fishing.

Above all, Larry was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a beloved grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Darlene Vastano; his son, Nicholas “Nick” Vastano, and daughter-in-law, Lauren Vastano; and his two cherished grandsons, Hudson Vastano and Jackson Vastano, who brought him endless joy.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Vastano and Sophia Vastano.

He had a warm and generous spirit, a quick wit, and a deep love for being surrounded by friends and family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support Parkinson’s research.
