Jimmy Howard Rigsby, 87, of Bradyville passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro. He was the son of the late Clarence and Geraldine Todd Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Rigsby, Edwin (Jean) Rigsby, Jean (Thurman) Gannon, T.J. (Betty) Rigsby, Billie (Carmon) Gannon, Georgia Rigsby, Jr. Rigsby.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Virginia Jernigan Rigsby of Bradyville; his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Rolando Ordonez of Murfreesboro; grandson, Gabriel Ordonez of Murfreesboro and sister-in-law, Geraldine Rigsby of Nashville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Church of Christ minister for over 50 years, Jimmy was a member of Midway Church of Christ. He retired from AEDC where he worked in payroll. He also worked for Singer, McQuitty Printing and Rigsby’s Feed and Seed. Jimmy loved people often helping others and did things for people without seeking recognition or praise.
His family will receive friends Friday, October 3, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Pitts officiating. Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery.
