James ‘Jimmy’ Felix Whitworth, age 79, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his home.
Mr. Whitworth was born on May 6, 1944, in Cheatham County, Tennessee, to the late William Harvey Whitworth, Sr. and Ruby Whitworth Mathis.
He was a retired general contractor in the construction business and was a member of Mallory’s Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 10 brothers & sisters.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Eddie Whitworth; sons, Keith Whitworth & Mark (Amy) Whitworth; brother, John Mathis; sisters, Mary Nunley & Susie Zell; and grandchildren, Jamie (Shane) Weakley, Addison Whitworth, Drew (Colby) Whitworth, and Abby Whitworth.
A graveside service will be conducted at Mallory’s Cemetery in Chapmansboro at 2:30PM on Sunday, November 5th, with Bro. Terry Forrest officiating. Burial will follow with Drew Whitworth, Carl Whitworth, Neal Austin, Wesley Weakley, Shane Weakley, and Charles Hunter serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Sunday, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM prior to the graveside service.
