Middle Tennessee State University Athletics and NVRDUL Events are launching a new concert series to bring major live entertainment to the MTSU campus. More Entertainment News
The series, called Live in the Boro, will debut during MTSU’s Homecoming week with Bailey Zimmerman headlining a concert at Murphy Center on Thursday, Nov. 5. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m.
The lineup will also include Waka Flocka Flame, Miller Holler and Dee Jay Silver.
“We are pleased to take this next step in our goal of making Murphy Center and Floyd Stadium entertainment destinations that will benefit not only MTSU, but Murfreesboro and Rutherford County,” MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee said in a release.
Nashville-based NVRDUL Events plans to bring multiple concerts and special events to Murphy Center and Floyd Stadium throughout the academic year as part of the partnership.
“Live in the Boro is an exciting opportunity to bring premier live entertainment to our campus while creating a new source of support for MTSU Athletics,” said Chris Massaro, MTSU director of athletics.
Murphy Center is also set to undergo major renovations beginning in 2027, with plans to enhance the 53-year-old venue for concerts and other large-scale events.
Zimmerman has become one of country music’s biggest breakout stars since 2022, earning multiple No. 1 singles and billions of streams. His hits include “Rock and a Hard Place.”
