Columbia State Community College will host a one-day conference in Franklin this fall to help small business owners learn how to use artificial intelligence to improve their businesses.
The “AI for Small Business” conference is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Columbia State’s Williamson Campus. Registration is $75 and includes lunch.
The conference will focus on practical ways businesses can use AI to save time, improve productivity and connect with customers.
Topics will include:
- Creating marketing materials with AI
- Customer communications
- Back-office operations
- Using AI to build and transform websites
- Solving business problems with AI
Dr. Jesse Spencer-Smith will give the keynote presentation, “Recent Developments in AI Applied to Your Practice.”
The event is geared toward small business owners, entrepreneurs, startup founders, self-employed professionals, managers and people working in marketing, operations and sales.
Columbia State has expanded its focus on AI education and workforce training. Earlier this year, the college received a $2.02 million federal grant to establish a new AI division through its COMPASS initiative.
The initiative aims to expand AI education, workforce training and community opportunities throughout the region.
