Winning Numbers for the July 28 Drawing
The winning white balls were 34, 48, 49, 59 and 70, with the gold Mega Ball 12. In addition to the jackpot ticket, the July 28 drawing produced 645,993 total winning tickets across all prize levels. Find complete drawing results here.
Second-Tier Prize Winners in New York and Illinois
Two tickets matched all five white balls without the Mega Ball, each earning a second-tier prize. A ticket sold in New York hit with a 3X multiplier, worth $3 million. A ticket sold in Illinois matched with a 5X multiplier, paying out $5 million.
Third-Tier Prize Breakdown
Fifteen tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball:
- Seven tickets won $20,000 — two in Florida and one each in California, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Washington and Wisconsin
- Five tickets won $30,000 — in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey and Washington
- Two tickets won $40,000 — in New York and Wisconsin

Florida’s Mega Millions History
Florida has now won or shared six Mega Millions jackpots since joining the game in 2013. The state also holds the game’s all-time jackpot record — $1.602 billion, won on August 8, 2023.
The 38-Drawing Run Since the Last Jackpot
The jackpot had gone unmatched since an Ohio ticket won $60 million on March 17, 2026. Over those 38 drawings, nearly 10.9 million winning tickets were sold and more than $273 million in non-jackpot prizes were awarded. That stretch included 18 second-tier prizes between $2 million and $5 million, won across 10 states: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
Only Three Jackpots Won in 2026
The $800 million Florida prize is the third Mega Millions jackpot of 2026. The other two were a $536 million jackpot won in Illinois on March 10 and the $60 million Ohio win on March 17.
