Dr Pepper Blasted arrived at Slim Chickens locations nationwide on September 14, 2026, adding a Dr Pepper-flavored seasoning to the fast-casual chain’s hand-breaded chicken. The Fayetteville, Arkansas-based company operates more than 300 units, and the limited-time flavor is available at all domestic locations at no additional charge. The collaboration is with Keurig Dr Pepper, and the seasoning is not sold anywhere else.
Dr Pepper Blasted Is a Dry Seasoning, Not a Sauce
Dr Pepper Blasted is a proprietary dry seasoning blend built around the soft drink’s mix of 23 flavors. Kitchen staff apply it by hand after the chicken comes out of the fryer. The chicken is not brined or marinated in Dr Pepper, and the blend is not a dipping or tossing sauce. Because the seasoning sticks to the hand-breaded coating, the flavor carries through the whole piece rather than sitting on the surface in spots.
Three Menu Items Carry the New Flavor
Customers can order Dr Pepper Blasted on three items:
- Chicken tenders
- Tender bites
- Wings
There is no upcharge for the seasoning on any of the three. The addition fits the chain’s build-your-own ordering setup, which lets guests mix and match proteins, sauces and sides.
The Offer Runs Through November 16
Dr Pepper Blasted tenders, tender bites and wings are available through November 16, 2026. After that date, the seasoning leaves the menu unless the company extends the run. There is no indication the blend will be sold in retail or packaged form.
