Jacquelyn Kay Allen passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, in Murfreesboro, TN, at the age of 93. Born on January 5, 1933, in Danvers, Massachusetts, Jackie was the child of Henry and Lillian Hilton.

Jackie’s life was a beautiful testament to her profound love for her family. She devoted herself entirely to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family will forever remember and cherish her unconditional love and support, especially for the way she cared for her beloved heart school sweetheart and husband of 63 years, Paul, who bravely battled Alzheimer’s during the final decade of his life.

Jackie, with her creative spirit, loved to make things with a needle and thread. She also had a knack for decorating and gardening. But painting was her true passion. Her beautiful paintings celebrated her New England heritage, her children’s favorite picnic spot, and her love for flowers.

Jackie is survived by her children, Sandra and David; grandchildren, Matthew, Christina, Bradley, Jessica, and Stephanie; grand-nephew Nate; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Annika, Luke, Adalynn, Wyatt, Scarlet, and Maisie; great-grand-nephew Roarke; and her dog, Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lillian Hilton; her husband, Paul Allen; her brother, Clarence Hilton; and her sister, Cynthia Ray.

A celebration of life service will be held on August 29. Visitation will be held at Hollowell & James Funeral Home in Countryside, IL, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by the funeral at Presbyterian Church of Western Springs at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
