David Forkum, 76, of Woodbury passed away at his home on July 8, 2026. Born in Akron, OH, on December 29, 1954, he was the son of the late Garland and Ruby Forkum.
He was a broiler operator and worked in Murfreesboro.
He is survived by his daughter, Nickie Carpenter and his grandson, Liam Wickham. He is also survived by Nickie’s brother, Matthew McIntosh who always considered him as a part of the family as well as Nickie’s mom, Bonnie Jennings who always loved him deeply.
David had a kind heart, and his laughter and smile would light up any room. He is strongly missed and forever will be loved. David has been set free from the burdens of this world. He was a believer in Jesus Christ and now resides triumphantly alongside of him where he awaits his daughter and grandson whom he loved more than anything in this world.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1, 2026 at 1:30 P.M. at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gaston, NC. 28054.
