Grammy Award-winning R&B group Boyz II Men is heading into country music after signing a new record deal with Warner Records Nashville. More Entertainment News
The legendary vocal trio, Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris, and Shawn Stockman, announced the partnership Monday, October 26, in an exclusive with The Tennessean/USA TODAY. The group is preparing an all-new country music project scheduled for release in 2027.
The move brings one of R&B’s most successful vocal groups to Nashville, where they plan to collaborate with country music singers and songwriters.
“Boyz II Men’s global influence is decades in the making,” said Warner Records Nashville Chair and President Cris Lacy. “Every genre and culture has benefited from their original music, and their impact on artists in the current country landscape, while perhaps surprising to some, is quite profound.”
Lacy said the group’s appreciation for country music dates back to listening to artists such as Randy Travis, which helped inspire their interest in working with Nashville’s music community.
The upcoming project follows the group’s recent collaboration with Lady A on “I Love The One,” which will be featured on a forthcoming musical project inspired by the television series The Chosen.
Boyz II Men rose to fame in 1991 with their debut album Cooleyhighharmony and went on to become one of the best-selling vocal groups of all time, selling more than 60 million albums worldwide.
Their hits include “End of the Road,” “I’ll Make Love to You,” “On Bended Knee,” “Water Runs Dry” and “One Sweet Day,” a collaboration with Mariah Carey.
Throughout their career, the group has earned four Grammy Awards, nine American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Awards and three Billboard Music Awards, along with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The trio has continued performing and making television appearances in recent years, including winning Season 12 of The Masked Singer in 2024 while performing as the Buffalos.
The country project is expected in 2027, with additional details and collaborations to be announced.
