Dwight Allen Poag, age 82 of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday September 5, 2026 at home after a brief illness. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam war, retired from the post office, a 32nd Mason, a member of the VFW Post 1618, a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Poag; his son, Michael Poag; his daughters, Amanda (David) Campbell, and Jennifer (Chris) Miller; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the chapel with burial to follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the VFW Post 1618 or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
