To celebrate the return, organizers will host a special Live on the Green Lawnwarming Party on October 18 at Ascend Federal Credit Union Amphitheater.

The launch event will feature performances from past Live on the Green headliners Guster and Grace Potter, with additional artists to be announced.

“Since its inception in 2009, the series has always focused on bringing Nashville together through great music,” said Lester Turner Jr., president of Tuned In Broadcasting, Inc., parent company of Lightning 100.

Turner said the partnership with Opry Entertainment Group will help usher in a new chapter for the longtime Nashville concert series.

As part of the October celebration, organizers are offering more than 1,000 free tickets to the community, along with other affordable ticket options.

Fans can register for a chance to receive free tickets at LiveOnTheGreen.com through Wednesday, August 26 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Winners will be notified Thursday, August 27.

Additional free tickets will be available through Lightning 100 on-air contests, its online Ticket Window and promotional events leading up to the Lawnwarming Party.

Reserved tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 28 at 8 a.m. CT at AscendAmphitheater.com. Premium reserved seating and VIP Front Access tickets will also be available.

Shawn Krauel, vice president of amphitheaters and festivals for Opry Entertainment Group, said the October event will give fans an early look at what they can expect when Live on the Green officially returns next year.

“Our goal is to build on the community and festival atmosphere that have made this concert series so special while creating a new and elevated experience for all,” Krauel said in a release.

Live on the Green launched in 2009 and became one of Nashville’s signature outdoor music events, known for bringing national and local artists together for free performances.

Additional details about the October Lawnwarming Party and the full 2027 return of Live on the Green are expected to be announced later.
