Mamie Marlene (King) Vance passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Woodbury Health and Rehab. Born in Auburntown, TN, she was the daughter of the late Elvis King and Bobbie Stoner King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hoyte E. Vance, son, Bobby Vance, Son in law John Melton, siblings John Grady (Glennette) King, Bill King, Wade King, Irene (Reams) Duggin, Christine (Oran) Duggin, Sara Ellen (Charles Authur) Smithson and George Oland King.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Melton, son Marty Vance, daughter in law Glenda Vance; grandchildren, Mark (Stephanie) Vance, Michael (April) Vance, Jason (Kristy) Melton, Emily (Brent) Hargrove and Callie (Dalton) Hale; great grandchildren, Reese, Ryder and Renley Vance, MaKenzie Vance, Ashlyn (Bryant) Hare, Addison and Allie Melton, Weston (Taylor), Ethan and Claire Hargrove, 4 great-great grandchildren, Wryn, Ridge, Riggs and Rowyn Hare. Siblings, John (Betty) King, sister-in-law Peggy King, Benny Kay King also many nieces and nephews survive.

Ms. Vance was a member of Woodbury First Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved her children, grandchildren along with the great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She loved to cook and to study recipes which was her hobby.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Burnett officiating. Interment will follow at Prosperity cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to MS Society, First Baptist Youth, St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
