Whataburger restaurants across Middle Tennessee are collecting school supplies to help local students prepare for the new school year. More Eat & Drink News
All 19 area locations are participating in the drive, held in partnership with United Way. Customers who donate school supplies or other classroom essentials will receive a coupon for a free Whataburger Jr.
Several Middle Tennessee Whataburger locations will also host a back-to-school “Whatabash” for students and families on August 1st from 9am until noon, with a huge celebration in Franklin and scaled down versions in Antioch, Clarksville, Madison and Murfreesboro.
At the Franklin “Whatabash”, the restaurant will give away 500 free backpacks to children ages 12 and younger. Activities will include a DJ, games, food and drink samples, interactive stations, and a backpack personalization area.
At the Antioch, Clarksville, Madison and Murfreesboro “Whatabash” events, the restaurant will give away 100 free backpacks and free burger coupons for kids, limited to one per customer.
School supply donations will be collected in designated bins at participating Whataburger locations throughout Middle Tennessee.
