Vanderbilt football is set to open the 2026 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Austin Peay at FirstBank Stadium, and the program has made significant upgrades to the game day experience heading into the new campaign. Vandyville Pregame Experience Gets a New Look
The Vandyville pregame area has been restructured for 2026. Fans can enjoy a new pregame concert experience in Lot 13 — the Vanderbilt Police Lot — before each home game. The Max Nance Kids’ Zone has relocated to the parking lot of the Blakemore House along Vanderbilt Place. The revamped footprint also includes new and enhanced sponsorship activations, concessions with food and beverage options, and merchandise from the Vanderbilt bookstore and other vendors throughout the season.
Vanderbilt Expands Student Section by 1,000 Seats
The student section at FirstBank Stadium has grown by approximately 1,000 seats for home games in 2026, giving more students access to the stadium bowl for Commodores games.
Concession Stands Renovated for Faster Service
Concession stands between Sections D and E and Sections R and S have been renovated ahead of the 2026 season. Point of sale terminals on each concourse have increased from six to 18, and new “Grab and Go” markets are designed to minimize wait times and keep fans in their seats during game action.
New On-Field Suites Added at FirstBank Stadium
Two new on-field suites in the southwest and southeast corners of FirstBank Stadium are available for the first time in 2026, expanding the program’s premium seating options. The west suites also underwent offseason renovations.
Walk-Through Metal Detectors Coming to FirstBank Stadium
Vanderbilt is implementing OpenGate walk-through metal detectors at FirstBank Stadium as part of its ongoing fan safety efforts, in partnership with Vanderbilt University Public Safety. The technology was previously used during basketball and baseball seasons and is now being extended to football. The system allows guests to walk through without stopping, removing items from pockets, or separating personal belongings. Vanderbilt’s clear bag policy remains in effect.
Traffic Pattern Changes Expected on Game Days
Adjustments to traffic patterns and road closures will be in effect on game days. Fans are encouraged to check Know Before You Go emails and the official Game Day page for details specific to each home game.
Premium Add-On Experiences and Ticket Options
Fans can purchase a range of premium add-on experiences at FirstBank Stadium, including videoboard messages, the Admirals’ Horn, sideline access, gift bag delivery to seats, and the opportunity to watch the team entrance from the field.
Nonconference single-game tickets and four-packs are available here. Single-game tickets for SEC games will go on sale later this month, beginning with National Commodore Club members before opening to the general public.
