President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend Saturday’s matchup between Texas and Tennessee in Knoxville, WSMV reports.
The game is set for noon ET at Neyland Stadium.
According to a White House official, the White House contacted the University of Tennessee on Monday to discuss potential security arrangements surrounding the president’s visit, according to sources with direct knowledge. The decision for Trump to attend was made Tuesday night.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” will also be in Knoxville ahead of the highly anticipated matchup.
Fans attending the game are expected to be encouraged to arrive early because of the additional security measures and activity surrounding Trump’s visit.
