Construction is underway on The Truth, a new 4,400-capacity indoor music venue expected to open this fall in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood.
Located at 440 Chestnut St., The Truth is being developed by Live Nation and AJ Capital Partners as a new destination for concerts, comedy and private events.
The venue’s name was inspired by legendary Nashville songwriter Harlan Howard’s famous description of country music as “three chords and the truth.”
The three-story venue will offer flexible standing-room and seated configurations, allowing it to accommodate both major touring acts and more intimate performances. The first concert currently scheduled is Malcolm Todd’s “Do That Again Tour” on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Plans for The Truth also include private boxes and two premium hospitality spaces.
Harlan’s, a mezzanine whiskey bar named in honor of Howard, will feature local spirits and craft cocktails. The two-story Vinyl Room will include indoor and outdoor areas inspired by Nashville’s recording and vinyl history, along with food and beverage offerings and vinyl records spun by a DJ.
Live Nation said the venue was designed with an emphasis on sound quality and the overall artist and guest experience.
The inaugural concert calendar includes a wide range of performers, including Jack White, The Chicks, Sting, HARDY, Beck, GloRilla, Jo Dee Messina, Scotty McCreery and Stephen Wilson Jr. Find tickets here.
