Taco Bell is tapping into 2016 nostalgia with the third chapter of its Decades Menu, bringing back four fan-favorite items for a limited time starting August 20. The Naked Chicken Chalupa, Meximelt, Beefy Crunch Burrito and Caramel Apple Empanada are all returning to menus nationwide, paired with brand collaborations and exclusive rewards experiences.
What’s on the Taco Bell Decades Menu
The four returning items span savory, spicy and sweet:
- Naked Chicken Chalupa – $5.99: A crispy all-white-meat chicken shell with cheddar cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes and Avocado Ranch Sauce. Originally a Kansas City test item in 2016, it’s also available in the $9 Discovery Luxe Box with a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, Crunchy Taco, Chips & Nacho Cheese sauce and a medium fountain drink.
- Beefy Crunch Burrito – $2.79: Seasoned beef, Flamin’ Hot Fritos, seasoned rice, reduced-fat sour cream and nacho cheese sauce. Taco Bell Rewards Members get early access starting August 18.
- Meximelt – $2.99: Seasoned beef, freshly prepared pico de gallo and a three-cheese blend in a soft flour tortilla.
- Caramel Apple Empanada – $2.99: Warm apple pieces and caramel in a golden crispy pastry shell.
Taco Bell Rewards Perks and Collaborations
Taco Bell Rewards Members get additional access throughout the Decades promotion. On August 25, a Tuesday Drop features limited-edition merchandise from streetwear brand Anti Social Social Club and screen-free camera brand Camp Snap. An in-app scavenger hunt runs August 25 through September 14, unlocking a new exclusive offer each week.
What Is the Divine App Partnership
Taco Bell is partnering with Divine, a six-second looping video app that pays tribute to Vine. Members can use code TACO-BELL to gain early access before the app’s public launch on August 20, with access to more than 2.5 million archived Vine videos.
When Does the Taco Bell Decades Menu End
Taco Bell has not announced an end date for the Decades Menu, describing the items as available for a limited time. The in-app scavenger hunt runs through September 14, 2026.
