Two New Stuffed French Toast Flavors Joined the Menu
The return included two new varieties built on the original Stuffed French Toast recipe. Both start with the same base, and guests choose between a strawberry or blueberry topping.
- Strawberry Vanilla Stuffed French Toast: Two triangles filled with sweet cream, dipped and griddled in IHOP’s vanilla cinnamon French toast batter, then topped with glazed strawberries and vanilla sauce.
- Blueberry Vanilla Stuffed French Toast: Two triangles filled with sweet cream, dipped and griddled in IHOP’s vanilla cinnamon French toast batter, then topped with blueberry topping and vanilla sauce.
Stuffed French Toast Has Been an IHOP Favorite Since 2003
Stuffed French Toast first appeared at IHOP in 2003 as a limited-time offering. It proved popular enough with guests to earn a permanent place on the menu. IHOP expanded its French toast lineup over the years, adding Thick ‘N Fluffy French Toast in 2022 and refreshing its full French toast platform in 2024. The 2026 return marked the first time Stuffed French Toast was presented as its own menu category.
Guest Demand Drove the Return
IHOP President Lawrence Kim said the company had seen years of demand for Stuffed French Toast on social media and elsewhere, and that the timing was right to bring it back with new flavors and a new marketing approach. The goal was to reach longtime fans while introducing the dish to newer guests. According to IHOP, 75 percent of its orders center on breakfast, regardless of the time of day, and the company has been building out distinct breakfast menu categories in response.
The Fancy a French Toast Campaign Launched With the Menu
IHOP paired the menu return with a new advertising campaign called “Fancy a French Toast?” The campaign draws on the style of the Rococo era, combining elaborate, over-the-top visuals with a modern pop look. It ties into the “treat yourself” trend and presents Stuffed French Toast as an indulgent breakfast option at an everyday restaurant price.
