Justin Barron’s 2025-26 Season With Nashville

Barron appeared in 52 games during the 2025-26 season — his first full campaign with the Predators — recording nine assists and 60 blocked shots in an average of 14:15 of ice time per game. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound blueliner was acquired by Nashville from the Montreal Canadiens in December 2024.

Across 97 games with the Predators, Barron has totaled 21 points (5g-16a). In 208 career NHL games split between the Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens, and Nashville, he has posted 52 points (18g-34a). Colorado originally selected him in the first round (25th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, and he made his NHL debut in the 2021-22 season.

Background and Junior Hockey Career

Before turning pro, Barron spent four seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL, captaining the team and earning a spot on the league’s Second All-Star Team in 2020-21. The Halifax, Nova Scotia, native has represented Canada internationally on several occasions, winning gold at the 2023 World Championship and the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and earning silver at the 2021 World Junior Championship. His older brother, Morgan, currently plays for the Winnipeg Jets.
