Gary Lynn Phelps, 50, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025. He was a native of Dekalb County TN.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Angie Neal Phelps, children, Leah Phelps and Patience Phelps, granddaughter Cora Porter, and mother, Kathy Hale Phillips, all of Woodbury; siblings Teresa (John) Underwood, of Viola, Joey Phelps of Woodbury; nieces and nephews Justin (Bonnie) Underwood, Constance (Holden) Mooneyham, Isabella Underwood, Landon Underwood, Spencer Phelps and Damien Phelps; best friends Trey Landrum, Wesley “Bull” Fults and Nelson Young.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Phillip Phelps. He worked as a carpenter, loved to hunt for ginseng and deer, he also loved cars and 4 wheeling.
The Phelps family will receive friends Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with Bro. Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Phelps Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral home to help with Funeral expenses.
