Scheduled performers throughout the weekend include Opry members The Oak Ridge Boys on Oct. 2 and 3 and Ricky Skaggs on October 2 and 4. Opry member-elect Rhett Akins and Marcus King will appear October 3, while Brandon Lake is scheduled for October 4. Additional performers will be announced.
The celebration will also include a ticketed Opry Birthday Tailgate Party with Akins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in Studio A. The ACM Songwriter of the Decade and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member will host the event and perform a selection of his No. 1 hits and fan-favorite country classics.
Tickets for the tailgate party are $25, including taxes and fees. Tickets for the birthday weekend performances and backstage tours are also available at Opry.com.
The Opry’s Summer of the Century celebration continues ahead of the birthday weekend with appearances by Carrie Underwood, Brooks & Dunn, Little Big Town, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, Pam Tillis, Chris Young, Carly Pearce and others.
