The winning numbers drawn Wednesday, Sept. 9, were 9, 40, 42, 55 and 65, with a Powerball of 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
No Powerball jackpot or second-tier winners
Ticket holders came up short across the top prize tiers. There were no jackpot winners, no Match 5 + Power Play winners worth $2 million, and no Match 5 winners worth $1 million.
Had someone matched all six numbers, they would have had the choice between the annuity value of $207 million or a lump-sum cash value of $89.4 million.
Next drawing set for Saturday
Saturday’s drawing carries an estimated jackpot of $232 million, with a cash value of $100 million. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
