CBS is bringing a new football-themed television special to Nashville this Labor Day. More Entertainment News
AMERICA’S TAILGATE ON CBS will debut Monday, Sept. 7, from 8–10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and will also stream on Paramount+. The special will be hosted by Nate Burleson, co-host of CBS Mornings and analyst on The NFL Today, alongside CBS Sports’ Melanie Collins.
Filmed in Nashville, the event will feature performances from Chase Rice, Gabby Barrett, John Legend and Sheryl Crow, along with appearances by comedian Whitney Cummings, NFL MVP and executive producer Josh Allen, and The NFL Today analysts Kyle Long and Russell Wilson.
The two-hour special is designed to celebrate the start of football season with a mix of music, food, football and fan-focused segments.
Chef Keith Corbin will lead outdoor cooking segments, while Canadian flag football gold medalists Sara Parker and Caro Moquin-Joubert will take part in skills challenges. The program will also spotlight football superfans from across the country.
“The best thing about summer ending is football starting, and AMERICA’S TAILGATE delivers on celebrating that awesome moment in sport, culture and fun,” said Jesse Sisgold, president of Paramount Sports Entertainment and Skydance Sports in a release. “The event will bring the party to Nashville this season, pulling together music, food, football and, most importantly, the fans, for a special celebration for audiences worldwide to enjoy.”
Jameson, the official spirits sponsor of the NFL, will serve as a partner for the special.
AMERICA’S TAILGATE ON CBS is produced by Skydance Sports, NFL Films, EverWonder Studio, Lost Tribe Studio and Down Home. Executive producers include representatives from each production company, along with Josh Allen and Tim McGraw.
