Once a sleepy little berg outside of Murfreesboro, Lascassas, Tennessee is now one of the fastest growing areas in Rutherford County. Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and SurgiCenter (MMC) opened its newest facility on Lascassas Pike to expand medical services in this area. This will be the eighth location for Murfreesboro’s premier multi-specialty, physician-owned medical practice. MMC has been providing patients with both primary and specialty care since 1949.
About New Facility and Staff
Located at 2668 Lascassas Pike, the 40,000-square-foot building will include Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, on-site laboratory services, radiology, and later in the year, Pediatric Services will be relocating to this facility. Internal Medicine and Family Care Providers moving here include: Lee Bouldin, M.D.; Mercy Dixon, M.D.; Austin Makens, M.D.; Ashley Castle, FNP-BC; Krista Cabtree, NP-C; and Kristine Sherman, NP-C.
MMC Now Family Walk-In Clinic, which has been located in the Rutherford Crossing Shopping Center, also moved into the new building. With the move to the new building, the Walk-in Clinic will be providing extended hours. The clinic provides care for patients with minor health issues, including non-serious injuries, and all those illnesses that don’t require major health or emergency services, like colds and seasonal allergies.
Population growth of Murfreesboro and the surrounding area is demanding more healthcare facilities that are more convenient to patients’ homes. The Lascassas Pike location will provide a modern facility with extensive space, updated patient flow, and lots of parking. Following the move, the MMC Northfield location will close. Patients with upcoming appointments have been notified, however anyone with questions is encouraged to contact the Internal and Family Medicine department at (615) 867-8010.
