Cool off at the Nashville Zoo with Summer Splash Days. Beginning on July 4, each Saturday this summer through August 29th will feature slip-and-slides, animal-themed sprinklers, and more at the Zoo. July 4 and August 1 – Watermelon Eating Contest
Participate in our kids’ watermelon-eating contests at Festival Field and catch watermelon animal enrichment with our species around the park
July 11 and August 8 – Protect Our TN Waterways
Finish our park-wide scavenger hunt quiz to learn simple ways to help protect local waterways and wildlife habitats! The first 200 families to correctly finish the hunt will receive a souvenir Zoo Rubber Duck (while supplies last, limit one souvenir per family)
July 25 – Dunk a Zookeeper + Coral Conservation
Dunk a Zookeeper and learn more about the Florida Reef Project at our Coral Conservation Lab in the Vet Hospital (normally behind the scenes).
July 18 and August 15 – Free ICEE Samples
Cool down and enjoy free ICEE samples on Festival Field (while supplies last).
August 22 and August 29 – Water Wars
Kids can enjoy extra fun and play at this supervised splash zone that starts every hour on the hour from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
