The Grammy Award-winning and Emmy Award-nominated comedian was recognized onstage at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto by Guinness World Records after setting a new record for the most tickets sold for a stand-up comedy tour.
On August 16, Bargatze surpassed 2,045,040 tickets sold on his Big Dumb Eyes World Tour. The tour has spanned 129 venues since April 6, 2025, reaching the milestone after 16 months and 10 days on the road. The record is based on total paid attendance during the tour.
The previous record belonged to comedian Jeff Dunham, who sold 1,981,720 tickets across 386 venues over a period of 35 months and eight days.
Bargatze has also broken 84 venue records during the Big Dumb Eyes World Tour, including a major milestone in his hometown. He became the only comedian to sell out three consecutive performances at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in a single calendar year, a feat previously matched at the venue only by Taylor Swift and Garth Brooks.
He also set the all-time comedy attendance record at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Bargatze has previously been named the world’s top-earning comedian by Pollstar, while Billboard recognized him as the highest one-year earning comedy performer in history.
Known for his clean, observational style and family-friendly material, Bargatze’s rise from Nashville comedian to global touring headliner has made him one of the biggest names in stand-up comedy.
