Dorothy M. Fox-Isham, born in 1948, peacefully passed away in 2025.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles Parrish and Dorothy Parrish, as well as her sister, Vera Louise (Parrish) Smith. She is survived by her husband, Phil Isham; her loving son, James Fox and devoted daughter in law Charlene Fox, and her sister, Belinda Darlene (Parrish) Keith. Dorothy also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren-Charles B. Fox, James D. Fox, and Micheal T. Fox-and her great-grandchildren, Joseph J. Fox, Kaydence M. Fox, Audrey E. Fox, and Jameson P. Fox. In addition, she is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Dorothy cherished the time she spent with her family above all else. She found joy in listening to music, and she especially loved the simple pleasure of shopping. Her warm presence and deep love for her family will continue to be felt by all who knew her.
Services
Visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Tuesday, September 2, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday, September 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204, at 12:45 p.m.
Dorothy’s life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.
