A Cannon County tradition, the 36th Annual White Oak Craft Show will take place at 1424 John Bragg Highway in Woodbury, Tennessee September 12 and 13, 2026. Named after white oak basketry, this event features 75 regional fine craft artists displaying and selling handmade items like textiles, pottery, jewelry, ironwork, woodworking and baskets. “Participating artisans will present an enormous variety of work, all of which is chosen for its excellence and integrity by a highly respected selection panel of judges,” explains their press release. “In an age when mass production makes so many things widely available, the White Oak Craft Fair celebrates the inspiration and skill of the individual maker as well as being an opportunity to appreciate uniqueness. This is an event whose reputation has spread to attract new attendees from across the region as well as appealing, year after year, to regular visitors.”
Known for its historic and generations-old white oak baskets, Cannon County serves as a repository of an outstanding permanent collection of these baskets at The Arts Center of Cannon County, where this collection is on permanent display in Cannon Hall. The gift shop which focuses on the work of local artisans will be open during the event.
White Oak Tennessee, Inc. developed the event and has coordinated it since its inception. They make sure to provide a blend of perennial favorites and new exhibitors each year so there is always something new for visitors to look forward to.
Admission is free, with a $5 donation to the Cannon County Rescue Squad which supervises the parking. Hours are 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. More information is available on The Arts Center of Cannon County website.
