Franklin Entrepreneur Carmine Grassi Owns the Murfreesboro Club

Carmine Grassi owns and operates UFC GYM Murfreesboro. He is from Franklin and has spent nearly four decades in the automotive industry. He started selling cars in 1987 and worked through almost every level of dealership operations. He became an owner in 2011 when he bought INFINITI of Cool Springs, and he bought Ford Lincoln of Franklin in November 2017. The two dealerships employ more than 375 people combined.

The Murfreesboro gym is Grassi’s first business outside the auto industry. He has lost more than 100 pounds through his own fitness journey. He wants the gym to welcome people at any stage, especially young people building lifelong habits. Grassi plans to open two more UFC GYM locations in the region over the next three years.

New Jobs and Student-Athlete Training in Rutherford County

UFC GYM Murfreesboro expects to create more than 50 jobs. Openings span management, coaching, personal training, youth programming, membership and operations. Grassi also plans to work with Middle Tennessee State University and local middle and high school athletic programs. Those partnerships would give student-athletes access to strength, conditioning and agility training.
