Tickets go on sale Friday for the espnW Invitational, bringing four major women’s college basketball programs to Nashville in this winter.
The second annual Sprouts Farmers Market espnW Invitational takes place Sunday, Dec. 20, at Bridgestone Arena. The event is expanding to four teams this year, with UConn, LSU, Virginia and Kentucky set to compete.
The headline matchup features No. 2 UConn, the 2025 national champion, against No. 9 LSU, which won the national championship in 2023. The programs will meet for the first time since 2016, setting up a matchup between two of the sport’s most accomplished programs.
Virginia and No. 14 Kentucky will face off in the second game. Both teams are coming off Sweet 16 appearances and will meet for the first time since 2019.
