Subway is celebrating National Sandwich Day early this year, moving its festivities to Tuesday, Oct. 27, one week ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm Election Day. Subway Celebrates National Sandwich Day on Oct. 27
National Sandwich Day normally falls on Nov. 3, which lands on Election Day in 2026. Subway chose to shift its celebration one week earlier so the holiday doesn’t get lost in election coverage. The company said the returning Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub was another reason for the move, since fans and franchise owners had been asking for its comeback.
The Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub Returns After 12 Years
The Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub was last on Subway’s menu in 2014 and is back for a limited time. It’s built with:
- Rotisserie-style chicken marinated in enchilada sauce
- Fritos corn chips
- Baja Chipotle sauce
- Monterey Cheddar cheese
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Red onions
The Caramel Apple Cookie Is Back for Fall
Subway’s Caramel Apple Cookie, last offered in 2021, also returns for a limited time. The cookie includes:
- Apple pieces
- Caramel chips
- Salted caramel crunch
- Caramel icing drizzle
How the Sub Club Footlong BOGO Deal Works
From Oct. 27 through Nov. 8, current and new Sub Club members can get a free Footlong sandwich when they buy another Footlong. The offer is added automatically to members’ wallets in the Subway app and works only on app and online orders. To join Sub Club and order, use the Subway app or visit Subway.com.

The deal comes with a few rules to keep in mind before ordering:
- Available at participating U.S. restaurants only
- The free Footlong must be of equal or lesser price

- Excludes the Fresh Fit, 5 Meat Italian and Big Hot Pastrami subs
- Sub Club isn’t available on third-party delivery, catering or gift card purchases
