McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Emily Case George, age 79, was born August 7, 1947 and died October 7, 2026 at her residence following a sudden illness.

A special education teacher assistant with Warren County Schools, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Methodist faith, she was the daughter of the late Emil Thomas Case and Louis Liston “Sug” Pace Case. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Case Walker and Ray Walker; sister-in-law, Shirley Luna; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert Paul and Doris Moore George and special friend, Nancy Higginbotham.

Mrs. George enjoyed spending time with her family and had a passion for working with special needs children.

She was married to Jimmy George of McMinnville, TN on May 15, 1970. In addition to her husband, Mrs. George is survived by children, Clark George and Heather George both of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Terian Turner (Dillon Kreutzer) of Salem, WI and Mary-Ella Lee of Sewanee, TN; granddogs, Izzy and Apollo; sister, Sharon (Ken) Burbage of Nashville, TN; brother, Robert “Bob” Case, Sr. of Mt. Juliet, TN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie (Barbara Jane) George and Billy (Connie) George, all of McMinnville, TN; special friends, Holly Cantrell and family and Bill Higginbotham and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and a multitude of special friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Michael Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
