Luke Bryan had “that kind of night” on September 24th at Bridgestone Arena, bringing out Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, and Chris Stapleton for a show packed with hits and surprise guests.  More Entertainment News

Before taking the stage, Bryan received two Diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America for “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” and “Play It Again.” Jason Aldean, Rucker and Underwood joined him for the presentation. Bryan is now one of only five artists with multiple Diamond-certified country singles.

As the show started, so did the special guests. Underwood joined Bryan for a cover of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer,” which quickly became one of the night’s biggest singalong moments. The two also announced from the stage that they will return to American Idol for Season 25, airing in 2027.

Dierks Bentley performed “Drunk on a Plane,” and Darius Rucker had the crowd singing along to “Wagon Wheel.” Jason Aldean performed “She’s Country,” and Kane Brown performed “Put Some Miles on It” during the show.

One of the night’s best moments, though, was Bryan’s last special guest. Chris Stapleton joined Bryan for “Drink a Beer,” a song Stapleton co-wrote with Jim Beavers, and Bryan recorded it in 2013 for his Crash My Party album. As soon as they began the song, the energy in the arena shifted. A true highlight of the show.

With Diamond certifications, an American Idol announcement, and a guest list that included some of country music’s biggest names, Bryan’s Bridgestone show was the kind of concert that could only happen in Nashville, and I am sure Bryan said afterward, “That’s My Kinda Night.”
