Middle Tennessee is celebrating Dolly Day on Friday, Sept. 25, with special events, live music, movie screenings, themed food and drinks, and tributes honoring Dolly Parton. Fans will have plenty of ways to join the 9/25 celebration. More Entertainment News
Nashville will turn the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge, Metro Courthouse, and City Hall pink. There will also be a brief fireworks show at 9:25 in downtown Nashville.
Dolly Parton Day at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum — Activities begin at 4 p.m. with a “9 to 5”-themed photo opportunity and butterfly coloring station. Rare Dolly footage from the museum archives screens at 6 p.m., followed by a free screening of 9 to 5 at 7 p.m. in the CMA Theater. 9 to 5 Day at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum — From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the museum will offer Dolly-inspired activities, live acoustic music, and local vendors. Dolly Day at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk — Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood’s Broadway venue is turning the entire day into a Dolly fundraiser. From 10 a.m.-2 a.m., 100% of the day’s revenue will be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Nashville Public Library. Guests can also bring children’s books to donate. Dolly Day at Tennessee Brew Works — The brewery is planning a free, no-cover celebration with live music, a Dolly-inspired food and drink menu, a $9.25 potato-and-beer pairing, Polly Darton Bingo and prizes. Dolly Day at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage — Visitors will get special access to the balcony where Dolly filmed scenes for her Dolly television show in 1977. Other Dolly filming locations on the property will be highlighted, an Old Hickory Gibson guitar will be displayed, and sandwiches, sides, and drinks at the café will be priced at $9.25. Centennial Park-Centennial Park will celebrate Dolly Day on Sept. 25 with Dolly-inspired food and drinks at the Croquet Cafe, photo opportunities at the Dolly Bench, a book drive for the Nashville Public Library, and the debut of a limited-edition Dolly Bench T-shirt.
