The Flying Biscuit Café signed a franchise agreement with Shreya Patel to bring the Atlanta-born breakfast and brunch brand to South Nashville. The deal covers one café in the South Nashville Proper trade area, with site selection underway and the address and opening date to be announced once a lease is signed. The location will be Flying Biscuit’s first in Nashville and its third in Tennessee, following existing cafés in Knoxville and Kingsport.More Eat & Drink News

Franchise owner brings restaurant and supply chain experience

Patel will serve as a full-time owner-operator overseeing daily operations at the new café. Her background includes supply chain management as well as restaurant ownership and management experience. She learned about Flying Biscuit through business partners who discovered the brand while operating restaurants in another market and stayed connected to it after relocating to Nashville. The daytime-only operating model — a breakfast and lunch business that closes in the afternoon with no dinner or late-night shift — was a key factor in her decision to sign on.

South Nashville trade area sees major growth

South Nashville Proper has experienced steady residential growth alongside significant new investment, including GEODIS Park, the Nashville Fairgrounds, AJ Capital Partners’ 18-acre Wedgewood Village development, and a 4,400-seat Live Nation venue set to open this fall. Patel is targeting students, young professionals, and area employees as the café’s core guest base, with Vanderbilt and Belmont университет campuses located just beyond the neighborhood’s northwestern edge.

Menu will feature Flying Biscuit’s signature breakfast and lunch items

When the café opens, the menu will include items the brand is known for, served from morning through the lunch hour:

  • All-day breakfast
  • Shrimp and creamy dreamy grits
  • Stuffed French toast
  • Omelets
  • Vegan scrambles
  • Burgers and wraps

Flying Biscuit expands presence across Tennessee

The South Nashville café adds to Flying Biscuit’s growing Tennessee footprint, joining locations in Knoxville and Kingsport. Flying Biscuit Franchising continues to pursue growth in trade areas with strong daytime foot traffic and community ties, characteristics the company has identified in the South Nashville Proper market.
