The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will celebrate singer, songwriter and guitarist Pat McLaughlin during an upcoming installment of its Poets and Prophets interview series. More Entertainment News
The program will take place Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2:30 p.m. in the museum’s Ford Theater. McLaughlin is the third and final songwriter selected for the series in 2026, following Josh Osborne in February and Ashley Gorley in May.
Museum Writer-Editor Allison Moorer will moderate the interview, which will feature rare photographs, film clips and recordings highlighting McLaughlin’s career. Following the program, McLaughlin will sign commemorative Hatch Show Print posters.
A regular band member and collaborator with the late John Prine, McLaughlin co-wrote many songs with Prine, including five tracks on Prine’s last album, The Tree of Forgiveness. McLaughlin won a Grammy for Best American Roots Song and the Americana Music Association’s Song of the Year award for co-writing Prine’s final recorded song, “I Remember Everything,” in 2021.
