The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is alerting people to a scam in which scammers send texts asking you to use a QR code to pay a traffic ticket in Nashville.
Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Leathers learned of the text and called the Davidson County General Sessions Court.
“It is a confirmed scam,” Leathers said. “If you use the QR code to pay, you can’t get your money back.”
Delete the text and keep your hard-earned money.
